Mobile Recreation

Is a program on wheels that goes out to neighborhoods and schools within the City of Lynwood, stocked with arts & crafts supplies and playground equipment.  The program is designed to bring recreation and trained Recreation Department staff to children and youth without the need to visit a park for the recreational experience.  Activities include organized sports, board games, arts & crafts projects, outdoor movies on a giant blow-up screen and traditional playground games.  A team of Recreation staff members simply go out for a period of 2-3 hours to pre-designated locations and set-up playground game equipment, a canopy, and tables and chairs to provide the Mobile Recreation experience free of charge to the community.
