City Manager's Office
Department Overview
The Office of the City Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, coordinating, and budgeting. The City Manager coordinates the work of the City, using five city departments. The City Manager's Office staff provides assistance to the City Council and the City Manager.
Mission Statement:
To maintain an organizational culture that fosters critical analysis and bias toward action. City Manager's Office recognizes that the organization serves the citizens of Lynwood and strives to provide excellent service in an ethical, principled, responsive, and cost-effective manner. The staff at the City Manager's Office shall perform his or her duties with respect and accountability to maximize the level of trust and productivity between the organization and the Council, between the organization and the citizens, and within the organization.

Programs and Services
City programs and services managed by the City Manager's Office include:
- Responsible for the management of day-to-day operations
- Responsible for the preparation of the Annual Operating Budget.
- Implementing the City's Centralized Complaint System.
- Implementation of Special Projects & Studies.
- Conducting policy analysis and legislative analysis.
- Production of Lynwood n' Perspective.
- Maintaining relationships with the Lynwood Unified School District, Gateway Cities, League of California Cities, SCAG and various County, Regional, and State agencies.
