Recycle During Construction

The City of Lynwood adopted Ordinance No. 1549 on June 1, 2004, establishing the City’s Construction and Demolition (C & D) policy. The Ordinance affects all private and public construction, demolition and renovation projects in which the valuation of the project is $100,000 or greater. In order to evaluate compliance of project with Ordinance, contractors are required to prepare and submit the Planning and Results forms to the City. These forms are available at the counter of the Department of Environmental Services/Public Works. The Planning form shall be completed and submitted prior to obtaining building permits. No building permit shall be issued until the Planning form is reviewed and approved by the City of Lynwood, Department of Environmental Services, Division of Public Works. Upon completion of the construction project, the contractor or project owner shall complete and submit to the City the Construction & Demolition Results form. Proof of all Recycled materials are required to be attached to said form, proof of recycled materials includes receipts and/or tickets from disposal/recycling facilities. The City upon receiving this form shall determine compliance with the City Ordinance.

Bulky Pick Up

Bulky Waste means discarded large and small household appliances and discarded furniture which cannot be contained within a Customer’s refuse container; discarded carpets, discarded mattresses, residential wastes (including wood waste, tree branches, scrap wood) and similar large items produced from residential units or dwellings.

Consolidated Disposal Services

Consolidated Disposal Services is the City of Lynwood’s Contract Hauler who provides the services of collecting and transporting the City’s solid waste generated within the city limits.
