The Senior Citizen Division is under the

Lynwood Senior Citizen Center is located at 11329 Ernestine Avenue,
Lynwood, CA

4:00 p.m. and Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Bus Pass Information
Senior
TAP Card
Monthly Pass $14
Seniors
62-years or older qualify for a Senior TAP Card. There is no
charge for the card itself, but you must supply a full-face photo (1" X
1-1/4" or 2” X 2”) along with valid ID showing proof of age (California
ID, California Drivers License, passport, or a birth certificate
accompanied by
any photo ID).
You
can apply for your Senior TAP Card at any Metro Customer Center.
Seniors may also mail in copies of the required documentation and a
full-face
photo to the TAP Service Center, POB 811310, Los Angeles, CA, 90081. For
disabled: Metro Reduced Fare Office, Mail Stop 99-PL-4, One Gateway
Plaza, Los
Angeles, CA 90012
The City of Lynwood provides transportation
for
senior citizens 65-years and older and to disabled residents. The cost
is $9.00
per book of 18 coupons. Coupons are sold on the first working day of the
month
until supply is sold-out. To obtain an I.D. card for Dial-A-Taxi, stop
by the
Lynwood Senior Citizen Center, 11329 Ernestine Avenue, Lynwood, CA
90262.
Excursions
The Senior&Social Services Division
has
planned monthly field trips to exciting and delightful places. These
trips are
planned especially with the needs of Senior Citizens in mind. Stop by
the
Lynwood Senior Citizen Center to register for any excursion.
Registration
deadlines and cost will vary for each trip. Register Monday through
Thursday
from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The

Supplemental free food give-away every
fourth
Thursday of the month from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the Lynwood
Community
Center, 11301 Bullis Road, Lynwood, CA 90262. Must be pre-registered for
this
activity.
Nutrition
Senior Meals Program - Nutritious hot meals
served
daily for all seniors 60-years and older. Meals are served Monday
through
Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon at the Lynwood Senior Citizen
Center
located at 11329 Ernestine Avenue, Lynwood, CA 90262. Suggested donation
is
$1.75. Meals are provided by Human Services Association. Meals must be
reserved
one day in advance. For reservations please call (310) 886-0416. The
meals
program is closed on major holidays.
